New York is a weird state: our nation’s first capital, the hub of commerce, the arts, and sidewalk pizza. New York is mostly known for its main city, aptly named New York. You either love it or hate it. It gets a bad rap because of the high crime rates (you are ten times more likely to be bitten by a New Yorker than a shark, so…there’s that). New York is a lot more than just an overcrowded city. It’s a state full of natural beauty, historic landmarks, and folklore galore.
