Bigfoot

Arguably, the most well known of the cryptids is Bigfoot. He has a following of believers and those who have claimed to see him ranging from Washington state, California, Montana, and into Canada. What most don’t realize is that the legend also has a solid foundation on the East Coast.

Pocomoke Forest

There have been sightings in the Pocomoke Forest, parts of New England, and in the Appalachias.

Belznickel

A folklore of German origin, Belznickel is what we would get if Bigfoot and Krampus fell in love and had a baby. Pennsylvania seems to be the home of this legend, with Maryland also having mention of him in their legends. He pretends to have gifts of candy and toys but instead whips and beats the children when they come near. Not great, but not the worst we’ve seen. In other accounts however, Belznickel is seen more of a helper to Santa.
