One of the most well known spots of ghostly activity in Boston seems to be at the Omni Parker House. It is considered one of the oldest hotels in America, operating since 1855. Some of the accounts are as old as the hotel itself. A bellman named John said in an interview that he first heard about the ghosts in 1941, when he started at the hotel. According to Historic Hotels of America, the 9th and 10th floor seem to have the most activity based on guest claims of voices, smells, and even apparitions. Harvey Parker, the original owner of the hotel, is a frequent flyer in many accounts as he is described as a heavy set man with a large mustache. A strange claim to fame is that the ghost of Charles Dickens may be roaming the halls. He spent some time at the hotel, as did several other well known writers, and some believe that spirits may return to places they spent a lot of time in life, not necessarily where they were born or died. So, if that’s the case then maybe he is. There have been claims (to the point there is even a plaque inside) that the mirror Dickens used to practice reciting his work is still in the hotel and his reflection has been known to appear.\u200b<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
