A cryptid more specific to the East Coast is Goatman. His home is the Pocomoke Forest. A Washington Post article from November 30 1971 say two men claim that a “hairy creature six feet tall walking across a field nearby” was possibly responsible for the death of dog. The article referred to the creature as “Goatman”.
